That lug worries me.

• #3
why two threads to sell the same frame???????
-
• #4
first 1 was sloppy and unplanned out. im some what of a perfectionist when it comes to things like this
-
• #5
i know any seller would say its fine butit is fine just another paint chip
-
• #6
I was referring to the visible gap between the lug and the top tube, actually. It looks like the tube is bent.
-
• #7
so was i, tubes not bent, and the paint has come off near the bottom of the lug

its a nice shape that is for sure, regarding what ASM mentioned about the lug looking like its seperated from the top tube, I would have to agree it does look a little scary - especially as it appears the same way at the seat cluster. BUT there is no denying that the paint work is a bit off, so maybe that is all it is. really, I think it wouldn't be fair to judge with out seeing the frame in person.
Thank goodness its too small for me ;) -

i know exactly what your talking about and i agree the phots do make it look a little fishy, but if you had it in front of you then you'd know its not a problem, but i can definetly see where your coming from

Don't understand why this has no brake hole rear but drop outs... seems a bit stange, but maybe rear facing ends were hard to get in the forites, track gear being needed for the war effort!
Are you certain the forks are bent? Don't some older forks have a slightly off angle where they leave the steerer?

well they look pretty bent and i went into the condor shop on grays inn road and they agreed. when i bought it they said the hole was for letting out condensation i still dont quite understand but. anyway purchased some new forks getting some re welding and reshaping done tomorrow.
also due to lack of interest and my burning desire to ride this frame i have decided to keep it, - even though its about 6 cm too small for me - until i have completely refurbished it

I have a possible frame swap for you, about 6cm bigger than that one, 60's, pearlescent turquoise, tom bromwich of coventry, unknown reynolds tubing. Excellent condition. Just a normal shape though.

I guess i'd have to see it in the steel, but i still maintain that it looks univocally bent in that picture.. I hope it isn't though, that is a truly one of a kind frame.

sorry sir havent checked the thrads for a few days sold it just now
sorry i know i made this thread already but i realised its very sloppy and i was unsure of the details but now its all gravy.
measure meants are as follows
top tube 53
seat tube 54
7ooc wheels
125 dropouts
10mm axels
it desperately needs a lick of paint also
drilled on 1 side only to let condensation out
very light frame, i bought this knowing its way too small for me but its truly too nice to give up the opportunity. forks are bent but repairable. getting some new ones tomorrow. i might add i cant sell it before friday because im having it built on thursday and I want 24 hours to ride it before i give it up
