One of the readers of this forum missed a chance to pick up an easy £25 last Sunday (21.9.08) when the Hounslow fixed wheel prize was won with the rather moderate time of 1.7.32. Anyone interested might look at the CTT website where there is a report.
I know the Hounslow event clashed with Herne Hill and so any of you who expressed an interest in the open 25 are invited to ride the Hounslow Club 25 on 12th October. If you're interested go to the Hounslow & District Wheelers website, club events page and click on the course code (HCC001) for details of the HQ.
This course is hillier than Farnham-Alton, but quite possible on fixed. It would be a good benchmark for anyone wanting to race next year - you should improve next time! There are no prizes for private time trials.
I haven't checked with the railways, but the HQ is not far from Windsor, which is reachable from Waterloo. There's no need to fill in any forms beforehand for this one, but it is possible we might run out of space so you might like to prebook by phoning the mobile no. on the open events page. I recommend arriving by 9 am to sign on.
Blue Steel doesn't get out of bed and into lycra for less than £25..

Formatting Help
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot
> Quote text by starting lines with >
Mention another user by @username
For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Your code goes here
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
