so you went out for a ride, and only fell off once, and you're pleased with that result?
-
• #3
It's a pretty good result, it was bound to happen.
-
• #4
what ratio did you use?
-
• #5
1 doughnut : 30k
-
• #6
48 16 and a big bag of Clarnico mint cremes

I went yesterday too. Was pretty nice day for a ride.
Note to self: remember map and wallet next time. What a donk.

Hey Crispin, were you the guy on the Condor Pista who hooked up with a group who wimped out just after Gatwick? If so, glad to hear you made it okay. I was in the group (on the langster) and would've gone all the way if my friends hadn't given up. Oh well.

Hey coshgirl, yeah! It was a pretty soulless hack the rest of the way, mainly because the sun was going somewhere, wherever it goes.

I can imagine... What time did you get there in the end? We were wiped out when we got back to Surbiton.
-
• #11
Not till late, just time time for it to get dark and the famous warlocks of Brighton to hit the town.
-
• #12
How long did it take you, Crispin?
-
• #13
About 8 hours in total, but that included stops and a slow bit in the middle where I explored the wilderness with some others.

O man I'd get crucified for starting a thread like this now!
Solo ride with no gloves or water or map, it was a different world
Just back from a solo jaunt to Brighton, could the weather have been any better? Looking forward to the next one with a group perhaps. Think I'd be up for Camber Sands.
Oh yeah, only one spill, right at the end, on rancid leaf mulch. Like fucking ice that stuff is, but no harm done. Except to my fragile pride.
Worrying knee based click developing.
