  • Anyone got one they don't need? I could always go and buy a Miche new but I'd rather go second hand.

    Cheers

  • I think i do, but they are notoriously crap..

  • really!? Ha

OK I'll get a Miche cheers Jac!

  • better idea ;)

  • They are crap; get one from Decathlon for about £2 = much stronger. I snapped a £7 Campy with ease.

  • I've got a Campag one if you want it - I've never had any problems with them.

  • Never had a problem with them either.

But I don't have a spare one. Sorry.

  • I snapped a campag one too. +1 for the miche or cheapo decathlon ones.

o hai old thread. Can anyone tell me if Decathlon at Surrey Quays sells these before I shimmy on down there? I would just go there and look but every time I've been they don't have what I want and it makes me so sad.

    Yeah they do.

Campag ones are good and available from Condor for £5.

  • Merci. Hurrah! I should actually have a non-broken bike by this weekend.

  • another binder question:

Do binders come at a standard length, or are they easily bought at varying lengths?
I need one a little longer than the one I have now. Evans recommended I buy a new seat post seeing as my binder doesn't fit: hoping there's another option...

  • SJS cycles sell them in 25 and 19 mm length.

What?! Bad plan if that reads how I think it reads..! Fitting a thinner seatpost is not a good idea :-)

I guess he was talking about length and not width.

  • 25 and 19mm refer to length I think - 25mm seems a bit wide.

Anyways, I was wrong and I don't need a binder, I need something like this, and I need the nut to be the shape it is there.
