If I was younger I would have liked to have had a go at free running. I think it is pretty cool.
Lush cosmetics store in Regent Street, central London.

Free running =
A load of knobby's over exaggerating kneebends and and rollypolly's after jumping off an 8ft wall.

Free Running is on a par with that Brazilian martial arts dancing crap, it makes my fucking head want to explode when i see it. So gross.

Capoiera. Wank!
Yeah thats it, god even the word is horrible.
-
• #14
Why? There are far worse sports out there. I see a lot of similarities with riding in the city and free running.
-
• #15
Capoiera is a yawn to watch but I think free-running in an urban context with good practitioners is fucking ace to see.
-
• #16
Can anyone host video's, sorry I'm wank at techy stuff!? Got an hilarious video of some fella getting sparkoed while doing that Capoiera shite...

Only if they ever actually ran anywhere. All I see are groups of people hanging out in one spot and jumping back and forth doing backflips. That's like saying trackstanding is cycling.

Theres lots of similarities with Rollerblading and Skateboarding but Rollerblading is still hideous.

Eddy is my favourite tekken character so i quite like capoiera. I've won a lot of matches using it. X and O :)

Every other weekend there's a gang of teens that meet up at the IMax/Waterloo roundabout - all done up in sweatbands, vests and Nike Air Max.
First time I saw them they had a bit of a crowd around them so I cycled over to have a butchersThey were all in line taking it in turns to run up to a tree, jump on it, hug for 2 secs then jump back on the floor and rollypolly off.....errr, yeah ace fellas, keep it up!

+1 Conan
Rollerblading is hideous. Rollerbladers have no idea of skatepark etiquete. They snake people all the time and sit on the grind boxes. It just has no style. Nor does free running. My GF's old housemates used to be into that capoiera shite. They just liked it because they thought it made them cultured.

I think free running looks great. I was like a cat when I was a kid, spent most of my time above ground so this would have greatly appealed to me.
Now skateboarding, that is something I could never understand.

That Damien guy is obviously talented. In gymnastics. Nothing in that video is Free running in my opinion. Just because you do a couple of jumps and flips outdoors does not make it free running.

Yeah me too, i was always climbing stuff
