Metal levers - that might do it. Was just browsing Wiggle and noticed the Crank Brothers Speed Lever. Anyone used it before?

start at valve hole?Tyre is deflated but didn't start at the valve hole. Will try again tonight but I think some metal levers will help. The plastic set I have just seemed to bend and slip right off.

How do you titillate an ocelot?
oscillate its tit a lot. -

are both threads still on the rim? or only one?
If one, get at it from the reverse side. Forget about metal levers, just use a big screwdriver. And washing=up liquid or talc.

This has been covered already so I'm not going to add anything useful..

Okay okay..
Don't use a screwdriver unless you want to pinch your tube.
If you start at the valve and push the tyre around you gain a little bit of slack at the opposite site of the wheel.
At the opposite side, HTFU and break your thumbs to push the tyre off the rim.
Easy peasy -

yeah, by asking whether he already had one bead off the rim, I was assuming that he'd then taken the tube out.
If not, I'd cut the tyre and my losses, life's too short...
-
• #19
It's not THAT fucking short!
-
• #20
Fockin spaut-on hippy
-
• #21
Both beads are still on the rim and it's a brand new tyre so I don't want to cut it if I have to.

Get it drunk, let it relax, put some music on, maybe light some candles, run a bath...that Armadillo's all yours.

Heh, I knew I'd get a few HTFU's but that pic is priceless.
OK, so I don't post much and am going to come across like a royal monkey for this....but does anyone have any suggestions for getting a Specialized Armadillo off a rim?
I remember it being a brute to put on but I spent 20 mins at the weekend inserting tyre levers and just having them slip off. There was no way it was moving.
Aside from taking a stanley knife to it, anyone have any suggestions?
Ta.
