  • I got told about this today, a bit short notice but I guess a few of you might be interested

  • I believe Mr Edscoble's already on this one. I saw his name somewhere on the TfL cycling page anyway...

  • read the Tand C's often they use these competitions to grab the rights to your images so they can do what they want with them afterward.
not saying this is the case but do read the small print.

  • almost every competition states in the small print something around "we own your image, every other image you've produced, and every image you produce in the future.

in this case it's limited to TFL using it for their publicity for this competition.

"By submitting a qualifying photograph and text you agree that the promoter has an irrevocable and royalty free right to use and reproduce the qualifying photograph and text for the purposes of this competition and related publicity."

    surprising.

    surprising.

    TFL's T&Cs seem pretty standard.

T&Cs that made the photographer give up all rights to past and future images (probably) wouldn't be enforceable in court.

  • :: Your photos

    Hi there,
Thanks for submitting these photos to the Cycle London
group. Unfortunately they look as if they might be
    encouraging unsafe cycling.
As a result we can't accept them into the group.
Please feel free to submit other images which meet our
    criteria.
    Best wishes
    Cycle London moderator

  • Ha! What was the photo?

  • nice. we need to see that photo

  • Looks like all relevant risk assessments have been taken to me:

  • rolls eyes Did you explain to them what is was?

  • i posted a picture taken at herne hill, clearly, with herne hill sign in the background.

    they said:

sorry, but this picture isn't about cycling in london.

bearded sub-human morlocks that they are.

  • Send them a pic of a smiling family in fluros riding serenely past an Evans store with the London Eye in the background. You'll win the comp.

they rejected it sadly, on the ground that it's an 'unsafe' photo, taking a snap of the bike without holding the handlebar.

Bastards !! Health and safety is extending it's remit into art now ?

They should take a look around the National gallery or perhaps the Tate and check for any breaches of H&S depicted in the paintings.

    ;P

This one here is a fucking accident waiting to happen !! . . .

  • This entry seems to show London cycling at it's best

I guess cycling's banned in this park.

  • Looks like all relevant risk assessments have been taken to me:

    penis swastika anyone? :D

  • I might submit this one :^]

  • "oh my gosh! are they riding with no brakes and with ... hammers?!?! Good lord!"

  • I call this one "die puppy! die!"

  • My submissions, titles below the images..

"Don't be a pussy, it's not that cold"

"Bike & Tube - What more do you TFL cunts want?"

"Even city cunts(ters) can cycle to work"

"Cycling off your tits in London is silly.. but fuck.. it's FUN!"

  • My submission called: the police's new bikes

  • Seems that one of the winning photos didn't even involve a bike:

    yeah this one

I'm sure I've seen it elsewhere - either taken by the editor of urban75 or submitted to an urban75 photo competition.

WTF it has to do with cycling I have no idea.

Pretty disgusted that the photographers' names aren't shown.
