Basically a newer, fancier version of the bike I play polo on.
A nice bike.
-
• #5
You play polo on one of these....? Good work!
-

really nice bike there!
Get it on, www.southerndownhill.com
and www.ridestreet.co.uk
The former is an extremely popular forum with a lot of trading going on, the second smaller but more specific to bikes like yours.
If you want me to post it up on SDH, (long time member, better credibility?) I can do so for you.

Cheers from a fellow Brummie Dwelling GeezerA number and email would be more than sufficient, just the email if your prudish with your number. People are likely to ask what the fork and rear brake is (front is a BB7 right?)
I forgot about you being a brummie, we should hook up. I build up a dirt jump bike last summer but it keeps raining and my only fairly near track (birmingham wheels) gets flooded with the slightest of spray.
So not really got into it as hoped, instead been fixengering about.
You wanna meetup for some riding ? (IM awful by the way!)

Hey, I'm sorry man. I'm in Birmingham... If i could wangle the day off work, i'd be down to you like a shot, but i'm not off until early next week...
Depending how keen you are i'd consider cruising on down to your neck of the woods.... -

i see you have 10 hours left on ebay lets let that run and see where we are after that. would be keen to give it a quick whizz before commiting. i take it it is just like a big bmx same dimensions / geometry etc. i put an advert on this site for a bmx geometry mtb but larger as my old haro is just a bit too small and flexible for doing dirt etc on let me see if i can find one in a shop here in london and maybe i could give it a bash here see if everything feels good if yes then i could give you a definate answer do you know anywhere in london that sells them ?

Hey Dicki,
I'm not sure who stocks Commencal in London - where abouts are you?
Commencal is distributed throught Madison, so most shops have some links to their stock as they are a pretty big setup. If you ask them, they should put you in the right direction of retailers....
As for the geometry, it is exactly as you stated. An oversize BMX feel with huge scope for thrashing the hell out of it. I have got the Max Max Superteam in acid green with fixed forks, which i'm gonna take with me to the U.S., which is why i don't need to keep the Absolut. I got it in a trade in with Madison (on a faulty downhill frame) and it has not been ridden at all.
See how you go. I'd love this to go to a good home. Peace. -

hmmm sounds tempting i really need to try one out before i buy to check geometry etc i'll see if i can find one in london i'll be back

-
• #16
I fly out next weekend - 7th September. If you get a test ride, i've got some good mates that can help to sort these last bits and pieces out. They could drop you the bike, then put the wonga into my account? There's a solution somewhere!

Just a thought - but i'm in the market for a new track frame/bike, to take to the States. I could use my commencal as a swap/deal?
-

Wish I had the yo-yos for it, bleedin' gorgeous lookin' bike there man, shame you have to sell it...
O.K.
I need to get rid of this before i fly to the U.S. I know its way off the mark for what we usually drool over - but it is a single-speed.... (gulp..., don't hate me)
Seriously tho - i thought you peeps may know people that are into the dirt jump/BMX scene, that will appreciate a brand new bike.
SRP-£799.
My price - £500.
Let me know if you have anyone interested - and i'll give you more details.
