  • Welcome to the track sub forum,
somewhere for velodrome chat (and checking whether it's raining in Herne Hill on a saturday morning!) about racing, training and all track related topics.

come and join in, whether you race Herne Hill, Manc, Calshot, Major Taylor or Osaka, or if you have any questions about starting out, or indeed if you are a seasoned racer who can advise the rest of us!

Unlike the rest of the forum this subsection is moderated, as it's intended for track related discussions, so any inflammatory or irrelevant posts will be moved or deleted.

  • Oh goodie!

I am Australian, don't you know?

  • Hi I'm new here. I was wondering if you could tell me what a really good bike for the track would be? Also if it comes with brakes would you like to buy them from me? And another question what colour should I paint the frame?

    Cheers.

  • has anyone got a colnago track frame they would like to sell - I have a budget of $50 and would like some money left over to buy an arrospok

  • wayno, are you going to the horseshoe tonight?

if so I can bring bars.......

  • Hello, quck question, which wey round shud I face on my biycle? I've been sitting with my head towards that round thing at the back, but I'm finding it a little difficult in heavy trafic. I think i prefer the view to the round thing. thanks.

  • tell me something, could you see the forum posts here before you joined the group?

  • No - I needed your approval first.

  • hmmm

I want this to be visible to everyone on the main forum, but only members can post.

    I shall look into it.

  • Yes, we wouldn't want the rest of the forum to miss out on the champagne comedy moments happening in this thread ;)

  • So the weather for Sat looks good, who's heading down to HH?

  • Seeing as I've not been down for a while, I should make the effort. Anyone up for an end of lido season swim too?

  • I'm out for the next two Saturdays as I'll be on holiday. Therefore you can all but guarantee it'll be glorious weather!

  • ah...so RPMs plan for total forum domination enters it's tertiary stage...

that's right, I'll be on my way to manchester for the nocturne this saturday (guarantee rain in the north, sun in the south) but will be raring to go next week (guarantee rain or injury/illness)

I've no wish to dominate the forum, this is just a place for track related discussion

I know nothing, i learn to cycle from a book

  • so it's a kind of breakaway? you've gone 'off the front' ? let's see who can stay with you...

  • grand. probly roll up bout 6:30-7

  • Now I've been accepted as a member, does this mean I won't get dropped by the bottom group anymore?

  • dare I say it probably means you have to train more!

  • I have a winter training plan in place, next year I will be getting dropped by the top group instead!

Riding 5-10 mile interval / sprints most nights, which I intend to keep up

  • hello fellow trackies!

i ride at Preston Park, as should a few more of the Brighton lot next season, would be good to make it up for a few races at HH next season, and get a few of you down for a race on the longest track in the UK!
