£1.05 is the going rate for a guinea. Theyre used for buying and selling horses - the £1 goes to the horse seller and the 5p goes to the government as tax on horse sales.

  • Park Tools home mechanic truing stand
Essential piece of kit for anyone with a home mechanic who has become bent out of shape...

  • Or this one..

This is the home truing stand.
We knock them out at £80.99, but the pro truing stand is more at £200.
For those that are looking to invest in the "Pro" stand - please make sure that the base is included.... some places will sell you the stand without the base, and charge an extra £35.

  • the pro one is lovely to use, a very good investment if you have the money

    Do you have one?

  • No, if only, but I used them when I did the workshop with Crisis on Commercial street.

  • Wonder if it would be practical for the FGSS membership to club together for a complete set of decent tools- mind you where on earth would we keep them/control access etc.

    Meh- pipedream, ignore me!

  • yeah the home one, the blue one, does both lateral and vertical and dishing by flipping the wheel in the dropouts
