you forgot Mach hubs

Long time lurker, first time poster, I need some advice from the collective wisdom!
Speaking about hubs, I'm building some wheels on a budget, does anyone know of large flange black 36h hubs that are reasonably priced that have no cut outs in the flanges? Was hoping to get something in the price range and quality of miches primatos - but in black.
After reading the forums about condor brand hubs I did go into condor cycles and they had a perfect set, £55ish for front and rear, they looked mean and great, exactly what I wanted, all boxes ticked... but 32h only! Gutted.
Wasn't hoping to spend £85+ on something like dia compes (http://www.businesscycles.com/thub-diacompe.htm) to get the look...
Might just bite the bullet and get a set of those £45 black formulas from kiwicycles. Would really like no cutouts in the flanges but not willing to shell £85+ on a hub set for the privilege...
Hmm, What does everyone think of IRO hubs?
New IRO Hubs Are Now Available In Different Colors And With Better Bearings - Bike Forumsbtw, I'm a heavy mo fo, 123 kg.

Save more, buy Phils :)

Why the insistance on 32h? I was relaibly told by Matt - (smallbrownbike) the difference in strength between 32h and 36h is nominal. Wouldn't a nice strong rim be more important?

Ved, physics will say that a 36 spoked wheel (what hatrack is looking for), will spread a load more evenly on impacts than a 32 spoked wheel. Since he weighs more than 120 kilos then he probably knows by now what will work, and probably doesn't want to risk spoke failure.
I'm heavy also, and recently popped a spoke on my rear wheel, which means I'm off my ss and on my hybrid. I WILL be investing in a 36 spoked wheel also, but for the rear. I think 32 spokes is fine for the front though, and since I weigh only a few kilos less than hatrack, I understand his concerns.

I thought the same thing Ved, but the dude might have rims already.. and 36h is definitely stronger.

Thanks for the replies, I managed to get some h plus son deep V formations from BLB - They seem extremely solid and strong. And they look like the dogs bollocks. =)
I think i'll just go with the formulas for this one. Would like to blow some cash on some phils but the rest of the build is costing a bit so will have to compromise on hubs a tad.

Apart from beautiful form, does anyone consider that there is a track hub of superior function than the Royce? Their Titan front hub (sadly no plans for a Titan singlespeed rear, I did ask) is to me, a thing of true Brit beauty.
I may be forced to sell my granny and get a medium flange front and rear set. Either that or plan a another robbery or something (ahem, steve look away mate, look away).
BBC news flash of the near future: Hooded fat black man makes escape from CostCutters night-time robbery, furiously pedalling what looks like a Giant Bowery. Police walking to catch him.

Extra Notes:-
Royce have said that they can also provide their medium flange hub in single-speed or fixed gear. An American retailer describes the Royce medium flange as being very similer to other maker's large flange models. Recent news: The fitting tool is a proprietary one, that needs to be bought directly from Royce. Recently someone slightly damaged their hub, because their own DuraAce tool was too hard for the softer aluminium ends on the Royce. Take note, any future purchasers.
Goldtec have told me that they can do more colours other than just black and pewter for their ss/fixed hubs; but it would have to be ordered, then it will be anodized along with a batch of their more regular hubs. At the moment, it could be 4 months till other colours are available. Check with BETD to establish current wait.
Ambrosio, Formula/Xero, System EX, IRO (and possibly SJS) hubs, are all the same. Only the sticker is different.
