You'd probably be best served selling the HED and using the money to buy your Moulton. Take a look at the Sales & Wants list of the Moulton Bicycle Club, or else try through the moultonbicycle Yahoo group - someone was offering a pristine yellow Speedsix on there only a couple of weeks ago.

I've got a couple of old Moultons one is a de Lux I think and the other is a mini or junior or something. They are both restoration projects, I'll post photos if you are interested.

Thanks yep, I'm mointoring those forums too. I think you're right sell the HED and try not to spend the money until the right one comes up. Not too keen on the resoration project, unless they are minor, but thanks for the offer Getafix. Any other Moultoneers out there?

Mr That, I've got a Moulton Automatic. A Bradford built one, as apposed to Kirkby. Brazed not riveted. Send me a Prime Minister if you're interested.
I'm looking for a nice old F-frame moulton, speed six preferably or similar rare model. I have a beautiful unused trispoke HED3 to swap worth over 500GBP or if preferred an older white aerospoke / tub / has a bit if a ding inside the rim but seems fine/fixable. Wrong forum perhaps but someone might know someone who'd swap or trade a Moulton. Worth a punt.
