ding dong!
I assume these will fit an old Rob Jackson Fork from the 60's/70's??????
-

Sorry dude, don't know.
They are pretty massive!
Billys will take them back if they're not suitable.
Only the postage to lose.
-

Best to ask them what reach they are before you buy.
Speaking from experience. Exactly what I didn't do with the Paul Racer Brake...too feckin long?!

for 700c wheels? they're great if you want a retro brake that looks and performs like a piece of microwaved llama shit.
-
• #8
shimano R550's or tektro prolly your best bet. much cheaper too...
-

Fred - thanks for your advice. The last think I want is llama shit for my only brake!!
I'm looking for something retro though to tie in with the rest of kit on my bike so the Shimano don't really do it...
Can anyone else suggest an alternative??

ive got both a few sets of weinmann 501 style brakes (available for small monies), and some copy unbranded ones (available for postage)
Im running dia-compe mx levers on my bike currently, but only cos I cant afford proper levers. Looks pretty good, the calipers would be crap on a narrow rim.
-

dfp - any chance of a pic of the weinmann. only need the front if your happy to sell.
with regards to levers, what would you suggest is a good lever? i would ideally prefer something that is totally chrome or silver to tie in with my bars.

if youve got the cash to splash, you could go paul comp deep drop calliper and lever. 'bout £120 all in, but the absolute business...

I've got a used silver Dirty Harry for sale, the clamp's black tho'... Easy enough to get off with caustic soda... £6?

Cool, my number's in the phone numbers thread, gimme a bell... After the track cycling tho'! ;)
I've got a Tektro long reach caliper and cable already attached to it, you can have the lot for a tenner if you like, good enough to get you rolling 'til you find what you need... -
• #19
A tenner it is! speak to you 'after' the track heats indeed!
