Shipping a package from the USA

Has anyone on here shipped a package physically located in the USA to the UK online, i.e. got a quote, arranged collection, paid for it?

I'm trying to arrange this and thought USPS was the right option but the useless feckers don't allow for online payment. I was using them as they are cheap, unlike UPS, and I'm not in a desperate rush to get the package, i.e. 10 days or so is fine.

Shame. I had this crazy notion of you sending whatever your package was to my folks, and me bring it back...... but isn't that how dudes like me get locked up for transporting unknown goods?

USPS = $200 USD for surface (6 weeks) and $350 USD for air parcel ( 7 days) but you need someone stateside to pack, pay and post

Fedex, UPS etc you are talking $600+

One option might be to pay a local bike store to pack and ship someone like Orange cycles might do this if you can get the frame delivered there

I am bringing the Pinni back as excess baggage not sure how much that is going to cost though
