Not sure that there is much of a difference in quality - however, 80's need a 114.5mm bottom bracket which are a bugger to find. 70's need a 112mm (from memory).

I'm looking around on the interweb and I'm seeing lots of 115mm and 111mm BB's for Campagnolo cranks. I haven't seen a mention of 112s? Would a 111mm BB work?
I am looking to buy a pair of Campag record cranks that are in great condition made in the 70s. Is there a difference in quality from the 70s to the 80's?
