How safe is Camden?

Going to a gig tonight in camden. Wondering if i can take my bike. Got the fah and the mini d. would that hold up and can i really fahgettaboudit?

i think Camden has to rank as my most hated place in London. Ive locked my bike outside the underworld a few times and its been fine but its always so busy round there it helps. The lock at night i wouldnt be so sure about. Get the bus if i were you.

I am afraid my initial reaction is not really that safe...I am quite paranoid about these things though, and never lock my bikes anywhere, so maybe that is coming into play...but there are a fair few rotbags hanging out in Camden some of whom no doubt pinch bikes...lock it sensibly and it should be ok I guess, but choose your spot carefully, and if you can, take a look every once in a while (possibly hard if at a gig, but....)

My mate's bike was stolen from there on Saturday evening (on loan from my dad as his other bike was stolen two weeks before), so I'd say take the bus. I fucking hate those thieving little cuntfucks.

Camden's a fucking shithole for cyclists and pedestrians. Worth a visit every now and then, but a total scum magnet.

I'm not sure actually, I'll question him later as it was a lovely little ride, despite the lock costing more than the bike.

i've locked up outside goldtop (a studio near the roundhouse)the enterprise and roundhouse itself countless times over the years without issues (most recently with corny, two locks for two bikes securely round railing or lamppost). Surely if you're half sensible about it and leave it somehwere in the open, busy, well lit and do it properly with a good lock you'll be just as well or badly off as any other bit of london?

Just lock your bike up properly and 'fuhgeddaboudit' till you get back. If it's there, good, if it aint, bad luck. Live your life, and cycle to where you're doing that.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to be in Camden last Friday night to catch the tube. All I saw were scumbags, AIDS victims, kids looking like the geeky stud on Skins, and a bunch 'yeah, cool, london look' types. I much prefer the mandems banging it out in Sarf
