This bike is beautiful to ride. If I had the money I woulda bought it already. Actually I know where Gav lives, so I might just kill him in his sleep. Prison would be worth it.

-
• #12
hey markyaz, i have had other requests for specific bits off the bike, so if you want to make me an offer on just the frame, fork and headset then i am up for it.

I was just wondering if you end up selling it as parts i wouldnt mind buying the crankset off of you,
if you can let me know how much you want for them that would be good,
Thanks Max. -

btw sheriff stars shouldn't be laced radially
-
• #16
true, but its only a 24 hole rim, so a plenty better aluminium to hole ratio than a 36 hole one.
-
• #17
It's an urban myth about the Sheriff Stars - any hub can brake!

Good point Roberto.
I have stuck the frame on Ebay if anyone is interested:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190243570627
There is interest in some of the other bits, but still definately available are frame/fork/headset and 650 front wheel:
Brian Rourke lugged pursuit frame and fork, made with Reynolds 653 tubing, with BR trademark wrapover seat stays. The rear is 700 and 120 spacing, front 650 and 100. Colours are flourecent yellow and bright green, with black BR decals. Seattube centre to top is 23", top tube is 22.5". As it is set up now it feels like a 54-55cm top tube, with a 'normal' length stem, then about a 56cm. Fork is drilled.
Obviously whoever is interested in it will inspect it beforehand, but the blemishes at the minute are a 1cm rub on the drive side chainstay, the rear brake bridge has some rust/discolouration around the drilling, and the track ends have some rust/discolouration on the exterior side. All stuff that can be sorted out with a bit of cleaning and a dab of touchup paint.
Looking for offers over £300.
Front wheel is a Campagnolo C-Record high flange track hub (aka Sheriff Star), 24 hole, laced radially with bladed spokes to a Wolber Profil 18 tubular rim. With a Vittoria Pro Team 19mm tub. Runs true and bearings smooth as butter (sic).
£90 ono.
Collection/viewing available in E5.
