I get dropped by the "Embankment peloton" every effin' day...
:D
-
• #6
Seriously that embankment lot are pussies, some of them can go pretty fast but they freak out in the traffic and they can't balance at the lights.
-
• #7
Thats what they call themselves on the C+ forum - "The Embankment Peloton"
WTF?! Its not a fucking race...
-
• #8
Nope, the proper race is the sprint off the lights at Hyde Park Corner down Constitution Hill.

Anyone can race downhill..
I just don't understand getting all lycra'd up just to come into work.
-
• #10
Maybe their commute is miles, and maybe some of them are going to race immediately after work?
-
• #11
I thought the world ended past the North/South circular.
Better to train with 28c tyres and jeans surely? :)
-
• #12
It does - I mean 'miles' in the Saxondale sense of the word ;)

Lycra to get to work, change into the rubber and leather when they get there...
+1 for some chilled riding, although I am hooning everywhere at the mo as I'm trying to get a bit fit, com'on uphill with the wind straight at me.

You might think that but go and check out the muppets on Constitution Hill. Some of them are terrifyingly bad at it. I've seen people blow up at 100m.

Touché.
Taking it easy on the ride in one morning out of ten, resisting the urge to chase down every roadie fool who thinks he is faster than me through central London.
Stopping at every red and trying to stay serene whilst being overtaken constantly by huffing and puffing nodders.
