  • http://www.theoldkentroad.co.uk/ : gone.

http://www.morpheusbikes.com/ : links to a holding page for Colourtech.

http://witcombcycles.co.uk/: hasn't been updated for ages, but a new website hawking Witcomb-branded tat is allegedly imminent.

  • the the witcomb cycling club doesn't seem to have much in the way of events apart from 'racehounds' at herne hill on sept14th. maybe i'll pop along and see if it's worth joining the club? maybe not?

  • I don't get it. One side of the bike will be different to the other?

  • We've been in Deptford 50 years????

Tony you cunt you've not been in Deptford 50 months. You fucking fart target!

  • that bike dissapoints me, lovely frame but why the modern bars & skewers? Lack of attention to detail.

I think its a given that hes speaking as a spokesman of the company.

    its got STI levers too.

  • what a fucking odious little cockweasel

  • £1500 for 'commuting and entry-level racing'?

  • £1500 for 'commuting and entry-level racing'?

I was more concerned about a steel framed bike at that price only having a Veloce groupset. You can get full carbon fibre and Veloce Infinite gruppo for that money...

  • I live just round the corner from their shop- every time I have popped in to get something they have never got it, but the bikes that they have are beautiful.
The main issue is that whenever you ask what the price of anything is they automatically say £1,000, then go up from there.
I'd happily pay £500/£600 for a custom built track frame, but not £1,000+

Cable routing would beg to differ...

EDIT: Unless you mean 'STI' in the broad sense encompassing Ergo, and effectively meaning there aren't downtube shifters?

I did mean it like that. Sorry I'm not very up to date on modern bike parts. Yesterday I got my first road bike that doesn't have downtube shifters (Shimano 600 STI).
