Crank bolt socket to borrow

I need to get the old cranks of my Peugeot- looks like either a 14 or 16mm bolt.

Usefully I have the arm from a socket set, but no sockets.

Can any one lend me one?

If someone else knows the size please chip in!

you need a crank puller to get it off.

may be able to help if you want to pop over later....still got your gloves as well!

14mm, i have one at end of pedal wrench with a 15mm as well, very useful!

I have one of these- it's not much cop at getting the bolt out that secures the crank to the BB spindle though.

Arrrr i see. Some crankpullers come with the appropriate socket - I think its 14 or 15, but often standard sockets are too fat to fit in the recessed hole. You may need to file one down/get a specific crank one.

Hmm, I had not thought- but I have a "standard" crank puller, I hope it works with a Peugeot crank set, I know the idle French love to make things odd sizes to confound us...

I've got a few crank pullers and a load of odd sockets - havent found a crank thats beaten me yet!

if you've lost the sockets then buy some more, always useful. £7 from machine mart (get the right size tho!)
