cool.
so they're doing the motorists next week?
-

I was waiting at a red light this morning with two other cyclists in Acton. Been there for 10-20 seconds. Motorbike just rides around us on the right and turns left, past us all, on the red.
Fuck any cunt that gives me that 'cyclists always run reds' bullshit. I'll stab 'em upside the head.

A considered and proportionate response. How's the anger management course going?
-
• #10
its happened to me before
jumped a red light on the strand and got slapped with a thirty pound ticket -
• #11
Two for failing to stop? High-speed bike chases are going on in London's famous London...

Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs)
lol, these people are morons, I remember a few years back I had one of these tools chase me along the pavement after I had jumped a red. Poor bloke was running and shouting at me, fat git. I though he was gonna have a heart attack! Luckily he gave up before he did

I got fore-warned about the Rozzer roadblock at Holborn by a pedestrian !
And there was I thinking they all hated cyclists... -
• #16
Saw them catch 4 people at holborn this morning. Tried to shout at someone as they shot past us at the lights but they didn't hear. They got collared.
as was said above, how about they take on the motorist next week? I've yet to see ANYONE stop before the green cycle advance stopping area at lights and not just park in it. Plus the number of people on their mobiles is ridiculous. I even saw someone driving with a smirnoff ice in hand a few weeks back!

I nearly not knocked off by some guy driving round the roundabout by the Rotherhide tunnel who was reading a map whilst driving! The thing is he had a passenger with him, how retarded was the passenger that they could not read the map for him.
These stings are necessary every so often. It allows the police to say they are doing something about the massive problem of rebel, renegade cyclists. This helps to keep many people satisfied and hence reduces the demand from crazy people saying license / tax e.t.c bikes. Just take care and try and avoid these areas if you can.

This morning was nuts, especially considering I'd watched a mopedmuppet ride straight through a red on Hackney Road. Where were the police then?
-
• #19
That reminds me last night I was nearly hit by a police car as I rode through a green light. I think he had been jumping lights too.

What about all the Bxastard motorists using mobile phones or stopping in the centre of yellow box junctions, when do they get their tickets! Could you photograph motorists and their number plates on the phone at busy road junctions or wherever and then give the evidence to the police? I wonder if they would do anything?

If you do it as an official report then they occaisionally send out a PCSO to have a word with the driver to remind them to obey the law. Otherwise its a polite letter saying please don't do it again because it means more paperwork for us.

I just clipped through one of these after RLJing...had been in the area for a bit and knew they had no back up further down the road, so when the wpc stepped out to stop me I just kept riding.

am i missing something here? if a copper/rozzer/peeler stops you and tries to give you a fine, * how does he know you are giving him the correct address*?
What price Eustace H. Plimsoll?
we don't have number plates, people
No doubt some of you saw the old bill handing out tickets outside Holborn Tube this morning. Below is a quote from an email sent from my rozzer mate (he's alright really) warning of new areas being concentrated on at the moment.
it reads:
"Apparently certain police teams are conducting an operation to target cyclists who cycle through red lights and cycle on the pavement. On six occasions over the last four weeks, officers have issued 61 penalty fines for cycling through red lights, four fines for cycling on the pavement and two for failing to stop for police. Officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and Camden Council Street Wardens have given words of advice to a further 301 cyclists in relation to stopping at junctions and other highway code matters.
Ten main junctions where cyclists were found to commit the offences with a view to attend the locations and enforce legislation:
Theobalds Road j/w Lambs Conduit Street/Red Lion Street
Theobalds Road j/w Proctor Street
Theobalds Road j/w Grays Inn Road
Bloomsbury Way j/w Theobalds Road/Southampton Row
Proctor Street j/w High Holborn
High Holborn j/w Drury Lane
High Holborn j/w Kingsway/Southampton Row
Kingsway j/w Lincolns Inn/Great Queen Street
Pedestrian crossing outside Pendrels Oak Public House in High Holborn
Pedestrian crossing outside the Renaissance Hotel High in High Holborn"
Take heed.
