    beautiful Ambrosio Champion quill stem
    90mm reach
a really nice vintage stem in immaculate condition
with unique top bolt, it's a great piece for whoever gets it

    £40

  • £2 for top stem ;)

  • Could I take the seat post off you please Mikeymerk? Where abouts are you?

  • £2 for top stem ;)

true, anything more than £6 is a little cheeky for an ordinary stem like that.

Its a wee bit shinier than normal, which might someone buy it for £6.

If it was a dull grey, £2/free would suit.

  • can u make it dull then again ;)

or swap for a slightly longer fully polished one :)

  • My Athena stem says Athena over the campag logo...

Let me know if you flog it for £40 as i'll flog mine too!

  • i've got a polished one on my polo bike, damn, better sell it as well

  • look, its a well made stem, and to be honest I don't give a shit about most of your stupid comments

it is a nice, good quality stem, and there's relative demand for shorter stems,
and £20 isn't a bad price, not that I'm not open to offers

seatpost has two people with dibs,
stems still available to sensible offers

  • All of these things are ridiculously expensive. I wasn't gonna post, but if you are gonna be arsey then so will I. How much does a can of autosol and 15 minutes with a rag cost?

  • dude. all of the stuff is ridiculously over priced. you know it, so don't try to rip people on the forum!

if you're willing to pay £40 for a cheaper campag aero post, you deserve it.

  • i got one of those seatposts, took it off my colnago because it was a shit to adjust.

    £60 ono.

  • 'ridiculously overpriced'? how did you get to that?
the prices for these things are reasonable and in some cases negotiable
for example, the top stem was purchased for just under £10 in a state that wasn't entirely desirable,
then I spent about 2 hours cleaning and polishing it, getting it to the state that it is now, which is pretty fucking nice
so if you think that my labour is worth than 5 pound an hour you can fuck off

  • are you under 21? if so, then you're getting a bargain. minimum wage is £4.77. that's an extra 23p for your efforts above what you should be getting.

  • nb: good luck with the sale. unfortunately labour and effort doesn't really come into when talking about market value. otherwise my soiled underpants would be worth a million english pounds.

  • and as a rule of thumb, i got a campag record aeropost from paul at freshtripe for £25.

hope this helps, and as i said, good luck with the sale.

  • i u think people will sit back and watch u try to rip people off, you can fuck off!!

  • fight fight fight!

  • you know what is ripping people off? unipack
this is not ripping people off

this is good quality goods, for reasonable pricing
if you can't respect that, just leave the computer and get on your bike

  • Another fucking 16 year old. Where's Max when you need him?

  • A new fucking 14 year old.

    that's better

  • Meh, Close enough.

  • I think by getting 'agitated' by our comments is a daft thing to do on a forum, thats exactly what this place is for, you should know by now that people speak their minds on here...

Whilst i'm here, regarding your comment - 'just leave the computer and get on your bike', must of us are at work trying to find an excuse not to work and follow our passion with like minded people, I think I can safely say that everyone here would rather bo out on their bikes rather than sat infront of a computer.

The foundation of this forum is to share banter, advice, tools and parts, not to rip people off. Thats why people are saying what they are saying.

I bought an Aero for £20 off ebay in NOS condition. The Athena above cost me £5 off ebay, a bargain maybe but we are not daft (well, most of us anyway).

  • Kalloy stem - £12 new http://velokit.co.uk/cart_productdetails.asp?PRODUCTID=3979

    That seatpost is worth:
    (a) what people are willing to pay.
    (b) what you paid for it.
NOS aero seatposts on campyoldy are sold for £20 - £150 depending on the model.

  • Kalloy stem - £12 new http://velokit.co.uk/cart_productdetails.asp?PRODUCTID=3979

Nice one dude! £20 for a second hand kalloy stem - hahahaha

  • in all respect I didn't know that the kalloy was worth so little
    i therefore apologise
if someone still wants it I'll sell it for what I paid for it, £10 polished
