It is a pretty "low budget" build. I paid £10,- for the bike at a flee-market.
Traded the powdercoating with some stickers (I'm a signmaker).
Of course I made the stickers myself. I polished the Cinelli stem and the Campa crank, those was on the Moto'. I cut the original Cinelli bar and turned it the other way around. Got a set of carbon-look wrap of eBay for a few and I got a great deal from Bell's Bike shop on eBay on the flip-flop wheels with FIXED COGS,LOCKRINGS, AND FREEWHEELS, Conti tires and a KMC yellow chain. All came to Norway from Philadelphia USA for $312.49 inc. shipping...Quote, Bell's Bike Shop:
Wheelset-
DP18 M Yellow
Black spokes 3x
Novatech Yellow hubs
Respaced to 126mm
Shimano Dura-Ace Cog & lockring 16T x 1/8
ACS Freewheel 16 x 1/8
KMC Z410 Chain Yellow
3x LV Tubes
2x Rim Strips
2x Continental Sport Contact 700x28I gave £40,- for the San Marco seat (eBay). A OK alloy seat post also of eBay for £8,-
I gave 21 US for a (new) vintage Motobecane headset on eBay. And 12 american for a Headbadge.
And I used the 42 tooth chainwheel that was already on the old rat.So I would say "low Budget"... :-)
You gotta' Love eBay!!

Great work mate. Personally I'd stick a nice black Brooks on it - hang on until after the polo tourney and grab a bargain there too.
-
• #11
to everyone - how much does power coating normally cost?
frame?
forks?
little bits and bobs? -
• #12
everything in one colour for £60 in armotex (spelling right?)
frame + forks + bits an bobs
-
• #13
@ Rik - 'Armourtex'
@ cruz - Great work !!!
-
• #14
That is a beaut
-
• #15
Thnx guys!!
The most expencive part on the bike is the seat post bolt!
It's a Titanium bolt used for 3 piece car rims... :-)@ CUPPA T:
Yes the pedals in the picture is the plastic one that came with the bike...
That's all I had at the moment. A cooler and better set will come!@ rik:
Thnx! Yeah I do too like the fact that the frame is cleaned as much as possible. I left the bolts for the bottle-rack though but I'm not quite sure why. Maybe I'll find a cool carbon rack... -

Of course I made the stickers myself. [/quote]Cool, fancy making me some? This http://www.londonfgss.com/thread7321.html will be getting a respray at some point and although I know not why she's called noodle, I would like it to remain, but perhaps with a slightly more interesting decal design.
Very nice bike by the way, amazing what imagination and an artistic flare can do.
