  • Racing some roadie tonight I lost control going over a sleeping policeman

I am banged up pretty bad and judging by the amount of claret

    I think I need a helmet

I want one to match my bike

    Preferrably a roadie one

Can yo get color coordinated helmets then...?

  • So.. looks like a BLUE in size ??? for Monsieur.

  • i bet the roadie stuck a stick in your spokes, typical behavior, never trust them

  • Shit i thought you were going to say you lost your bike. Well I'm glad you didn't!

As for helmet, just let the blood dry and form a scab - natural helmet.

  • Sorry to hear of your mishap, bit of bark off and a bit of claret loss is good for the soul.
    And yes get a helmet.

  • something like that?

or im sure you could take off the plastic shell from any helmet you like and paint it yourself? any blue you like.

  • just let the blood dry and form a scab - natural helmet.

    Excellent, ingenious and excellent.

    Bad luck ! :(

What have I told you about cycling without your silver crucifix and St Christopher ?

Bike's looking very very nice by the way, the last I saw of it was when you were getting the blue Nittos, never seen a full picture, got any more images ?

Personally I would warn against over co-ordination, especially so on colour, consider it a case of getting a picture frame on an old master painted to match the canvas.

    Browse here (hundreds of helmets):

  • When i saw the name of the thread and then who posted it I thought 'oh no someone has got drunk and forgotten where he locked the most beautiful Mercian in the world" Thank fully my suspicions were not confirmed!

  • I'm with Tynan on this.
    Over coordination you will regret.
    Get white or black.

  • People who colour co-ordinate clothes with metals will look like ass holes.

    Slack chain btw,

  • Tynan I'll upload to flikr when my right arm is working again

I ride with brown shorts, blue shirt & a brown rucksack so brown would work as well

Although I do think that lid by Cuppa T is a little bit smart

My bowler size is 6 - 7/8 is that how helmets are sized..?

My crucifix worn latino style didn't save me this time

although I believe they are popular on the tour

I'd ask for sympathy but I really ought to know better

not to race on the street balls out

bike hasn't got a scratch on it though...:)

so off to the doctors for some codine

  • Sorry to hear that :(

Has to be yellow helmet, it will match the blue of your bike and the brown of your clothes.

    Failing that, white is superb.

  • Black or white. Colour neutral to match any bike you own (or will own).

  • you guys are soooooo boring.

  • Bad luck dude. I saw the thread title and thought it would be about you losing your buddhic calm and getting in a fight with a car driver. Glad to hear that the injuries aren't worse and that the bike's ok.

    Slack chain btw,

    Wrong btw

  • un-licky Buddha - but you were racing and with a lovely set of wheels like that, there is no way i am feeling sorry for you ;)

+1 on the colour matching front, you don't want to look like something from a catalogue. go for a yellow lid!

  • colour coord ---> helmet, gloves and shoes. WHITE! blue framed sunnies ;)

  • Bad luck, heal well. At least you didn't damage that beautiful bike... :p

  • SMB

As well as the latino styled crucifix, have you considered a St Christopher medal and a Giro Ionos helmet?

    Sounds nasty. Recover quickly.

  • ...I'd ask for sympathy but I really ought to know better not to race on the street balls out...

I'm suprised they didn't get damaged too.

  • Four broken ribs, broken wing bone (scapula), skinned hands, knees & elbows 2x7 inch head gash

Off work for four weeks I think I am going to go down to Cannes

Thanks for all the fashion tips ...:)

  • Harsh. Hope you heal up quick Buddha.

  • Oh bugger - broken ribs are such a pain! Get well soon.

    Ooh - and nice bike!

  • yikes. sounds serious. sorry to hear that. rest up
