got a lugged holdsworth, thought to myself, why not savagely butcher a perfectly decent bicycle not designed for the purpose i want to use it for and hey hey, Question to everyone shall i make the back non drilled?
great idea.

be warned - a similarly butchered JF Wilson only attracted one bid on ebay recently.

i am planning the same kinda thing with my holdsworth claud butler.
Being quite new to brazing i figure the best way to learn is to jump in and give it a go myself. -

nice one Brucy !
Thats brilliant, a proper conversion in the sense it will have proper horizontal dropouts,
but taking the BB shell out must have been an effort i would have thought. -
• #16
DONE! i shall post pics in a bit:)

X marks the spot . . nice bit of recycling

only thing that would bother me is the angle of the rear dropouts pointing downwards. Although this won't really affect anything, it just looks better when in line with the chainstay.
I'm just a fussy bugger
But a Stirling effort. -

indeed i made it so the dropouts are horizontal when its all built up.
