  • After we heard about him flogging off bike 3 time it's cost, I don't think he sold his bike at all.

    http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/drummondbikeslondon/

  • He hasn't sold a single one yet. pwaha

  • does "custom built" just mean he stuck a fixed cog on it and stripped the gears off

  • That is a super-looking bike. Nice, well-chosen components (apart from the saddle), looks well put together as well, at least from the pictures.

But even though it's a track frame, with a campy record crankset and aero seatpost, 645 plus £30 shipping is a rip-off. this guy would sell, if he lost the stupid BIN price andran them as auctions. I reckon that one could make about £450-500 in an auction, cos it is a lovely bike.

  • oh wait, that ain't no track frame. My bad. Still a lovely bike but an epic rip off.

  • This is very very very very funny. If you check his feedback, you can see the cheap components he bought from eBay and wacked on his 'creations'.

  • I asked him what he had used to convert one of them to a SS, he told me it was a converter that he specially engineered for the job.

  • Blokes trying to turn a buck nothing wrong with that we all gotta eat

  • the wrong thing is he's starving himself in that case

  • Is this the same guy that oftern flogs off old frames on Ebay?

  • He has some nice and tough to find frames occasionally, there's a boom in the market and he's trying to make a buck... Big deal... You don't like the price, you walk away... Bling Bling's frames were quite a bit cheaper this time last year... Times change... Don't like his conversions much tho'...

  • Can you use V-brake levers with non-V calipers?

Surely V levers pull through more cable so will be too sharp?

I should probably add I don't know much about V brakes.

that's exactly how I found out about whether he sold it or not!

dunno, it's perfectly fine to make a buck, just not a ridiclous amount for such a cheap compound, he's better off as asm pointed out, selling them as auction.

I just like to laugh at how no one managed to buy it yet.

  • I know someone who got a frame off this guy. I don't see him much so no idea what the frame is or what he paid.

can we possibly not flame people who none of us know.
fact is he's making the most of things, who cares ? good for him
can't believe this actually made a responsive thread.

  • he isnt making the most of things tho, cos he hasnt sold any!

i believe thats the point of the thread

  • maybe he just started.

  • It occurs to me that the strength of the LFGSS site is undermined by gossip, I am surprised by the the small things that are said about me and what I do, my request to the self righteous is to get out on your bikes on a sunny day and smell the roses, this is a big world and being small is not a contribution to it, be big, there is room enough for all of us, regards, Graham.

  • and thanks to all you guys who haven't got sucked in to the dark side, have a good Sunday,it's going to be a good day, sunshine, Graham.

  • hi graham,

this thread contains a range of opinions, the most measured and complimentary of them coming from established members like ASM, and Teenslain.

the general consensus seems to be thus:

    • your latest bikes are quite pretty
    • the first couple you did - a raleigh and some team england thing - were a bit scary
    • your BIN prices seem a little high/ambitious
  • about time we had some sun though.

  • Seriously mate, stop with the BIN and I WILL bid on your bikes, so will many others.

  • I would most definitely bid on some of the bike as it does look nice and reliable, it's just the BIN price is ridiculous when there's other singlespeed/fixed gear bicycle out there brand new with even better compound and actually are actually area track frame.

  • if I sold conversions for that price, I'd feel like a proper cunt.
