fucking hell hassan, you were building this bike up the week before last, now you're selling it!
This is a great frame, real purdy like.
Hassan, why don't you ride with a lighter weight? skip the tent / panniers, ride with a large saddlebag and a credit card? it's not exactly audax if you're carrying full round-the-world expedition weight...

yeah, tis quick.
rode to bath and back with a friend, and the frame just doesn't work with the type of riding i want to do. audaxing would be fine, but i want full on touring. camping is one of the best parts of being out there! my friend was on a mtb converted for touring, and he could go anywhere he wanted to, and was stable as hell, he could even trackstand in traffic fully loaded. granted i was faster all around, i'll give up a bit of speed for versatility.
we didn't get through marlborough unfortunately, i'm saving that for our next trip :)
windy81 - i'll get some pics up this afternoon

indeed looks tight for a tourer!
Cant you give me a hint of what your after, as I seem to be insulting people with my valuations. :D
i got this frame a few months ago, to build up as a roadie and hoping to use it for some light touring. as it turns out, the geometry is way too tight for riding with a tent and two full panniers, so i'd like to sell it and get a proper touring frame.
it was built in late 1998 (i called bob jackson to verify it was their frame), is made of reynolds 853 tubing for the main triangle and the fork, has fastback stays, campag style forward facing rear dropouts, braze-ons for mudguards and rear rack. the geometry is quite tight, the wheel base is just a bit longer than my bridgestone...
it has been resprayed at armourtex, deep burgundy/wine red with a sparkle clearcoat, so it doesn't have any decals, but both the front and rear dropouts have 'bob jackson' stamped on them. no dings, no dents, paint is almost perfect. i have only done about 300 miles on it since it was resprayed, so it looks like new. no bb, bu can include an almost new ultegra headset (1" threaded), if you want.
measures 52 cm c-c seat tube and 53 c-c top tube.
it's a beautiful frame, fun to ride, really quick, really light and very responsive, but i need something more stable for the longer loaded rides.
sorry i don't have any pics yet, but i can get some up if there is any interest. offers?
