Bastardddddd ! Can't fckin believe it, came into work this morning, went up to the workshop to fettle my nearly ready bike, opened the clamp on the workshop bike stand and the plastic grips that are clamped around the top tube have pulled off some of the paint, FUCK. It's not quite road ready and it's already spoiled. FUCK, FUCK. FUCK !

Yeah, thats what you get for trying to be clever and spray your own frame. Moral: leave it to the proffesionals! Think i will be making a trip to Armoutex soon. Was warned not to do it but didn't listen, you just think ' I'm sure I could do that' and it turns out I couldn't. Bollox!

Lol, and it looked so nice when I had finished it. Oh well at least I got a couple of photos of it in its unblemished state. Aidan is right sooner or later it's going to get scratched up anyway.

why are you clamping round the top tube? any decent bike mechanic knows this is the wrong place to clamp a bike, the tube walls (if butted) are about .4-.6mm in the middle of the top tube so easily dented.
always clamp onto the seatpost or the unbutted part of the seattube.

Well I'm not a decent mechanic, It kind of rests balanced when it sits there, it wasnt clamped tight, just enough to stop it rocking.
