  • My girlfriend is trying to go on a detox diet, basically no meat, no (or little) salt, sugar, no wheat, no milk and.. I think that it, trouble is there's only so much you can do in London, and going to Wholefoods in Marchmont Street isn't appealing when there's little choices.

do anyone know a good vegans restaurant/cafe apart from the one in Neal's Yard (too few selection) and Food for Thought?

  • Don't know if its vegan-certainly veggie-Rasa on Church st N16 one of the best indians around veggie or not...

  • Drummond St. Just west of Euston station has a whole bunch of good Indian vegetarian stuff.

  • The Gate in Hammersmith is pretty good - not cheap tho
Mildreds in Lexington St - good staple
Blah Blah Blah Goldhawk Rd - havent been there for ages but used to be good - veg but not sure about vegan

i'm sure there'll be some better recomendations than these coming....!

  • dont know the road name . . .

manna is well nice. although the best veg restaurant i've been to is terre a terre in brighton. amazing place. (but again, a bit pricey).

    Awesome restaurant.

  • Indian Veg in Chapel Market N1. All you can eat vegan buffet for £3.50 - awesome place.

  • Planet Organic near Goodge Street, and Fresh and Wild in Soho are pretty decent. Also a great restuarant in Soho but I can't remember it's name...near Shaftsbury Avenue, on a corner, serves tasty food! One of those ones where you order at the 'bar' at the front, and pay by the scoop. Pretty fair pricing too.

    Love that place too.

And the allyoucaneat Thai place on clerkenwell road.

  • Beetroot in soho.

  • I'm told Sagar in Hammersmith good; I've wanted to go there for a while. I'm certain it's vegetarian, but I think they do some vegan stuff.

REally good food, but not for detoxing at a guess*.

    *From my understanding of detoxing.

  • Or bring your missus to my house and I'll cook ;]

  • Have never been there, but this place always looked interesting, plans to go one day

+1, and half price cocktails until 7:30 and they let you order as many as you like before that time and then make them throughout the evening. Great mojitos :)
