Good work fellas......you all look like 'real' cyclists as well. Were you in freewheel heaven on all the descents, sticking your legs out and screaming YAAHHHHOOOOOO!!
Can we start a 'Best Shaved Leg 2008' Competition ??

How did the power tab hold up to taking a swim?
-
• #18
we saw a few fg cyclists. spotted one, grey frame, dude with bushy dark hair, along rue st honorare monday afternoon...dude checked out the fyxomatosis tee i had on. wouldve loved to cycle around the city (fixed of course). guys goin on cornelius' lfgss paris trip will surely have a good time

hippy's power tap surprisingly survived.
we were roomies for the trip. we left the hotel room window open overnight so that his shoes and gloves would dry out for the next day!

so was it a race or an outing ? I am interested because I am toying with the idea of becoming a 'roadie'
-

Couple of pics from the official L2P webpage : http://www.londres-paris.com/site/html/home/index.php
None of hippy though, probably too busy going for a swim!
-

suppose to be a race. riders were divided into four groups. group one being the fastest and where the real competition is (hippy's group).
there are general classification zones, sprint sections and king of the mountain finishes where riders can go for it. but outside these race sections, riders are bunched up and kept together. racing sections were cancelled in second half of day two and all of day three because of the critical accident.
you can read about the ride here. this is the only london to paris ride that i know of that is sort of pro-like
group three peloton below

Yeah Des, I read about that poor rider. Dreadful news.
-
• #24
yep. we heard the guy was critical at the end of day two. shocked the l2p camp. very sad indeed. sounds like the dude had two young kids. cant stop thinking about it. couldve happend to anyone

shit that was hard - 600k in 3 days
Hippy, fatboyralph, Rickymundo and myself all finished the ride. Highlights were riding the Pave, closed roads all thro France and the Champs Elysee being closed for us as we rolled into Paris
Honorable mention to Hippy for redefining HTFU -
crashing in a race section on day 2 and watching his bike propel itself into the canal as the peleton carry on down the road - get in the sag wagon? no fucking way! Hippy jumps into the canal to get his bike, jumps onto his bike and drafts the support van to get back to the race group
