hmm... sorry, wasn't fully awake before. I'm after the BJ. could I come and have a look at it?
-
• #17
woo late as usual.
the bike still around? -
• #18
at the moment meneer has dibs. if he don't want it, then addie has two's-up, then benjo, and if it's still there and no-one wants it at all, mcbateso can have fourth dibs.
i worked this out by researching the times of the PMs and posts.

Hi pj,
a bit late, but hey, if the bike gods are good, and no-one has taken the BJ bike yet, I'm keen. 5th dibs?
cheers, Rudy -

The rest of the carrion brigade will be pleased to know that I just snagged something on t'bay (hence me selling my old Holdsworth - and yes, it really is a Holdsworth) in another thread.
Ergo, consider my dibs gracefully removed to allow for the more needy party.

**edit:
frame - £85~~ wheels - £120 ~~**
Ok, as some of you know, i bought the frame the other week for £85 on ebay. I've built it with a pretty newish wheelset, ambrosio hubs and rims, newish gatorskins.
it has a headclip, which suggests the frame is very early 50s, if not earlier. i am using a quill stem with the headclip.
disclaimers: this bike has been resprayed and decalled by bob jackson, but it is not a bob jackson. the fork appears to not be of the same origins as the frame. looking at the pencil thin stays and the really nice lugs it could be a holdsworth, or even a bates, but this is just speculation on my part. it is a very nice frame. it has had later cable bosses brazed on the top tube - i guess by bob jackson during the respray. slight dent in downtube. paintwork faded but lovely patina.
