Wanted: 1" A-Head Fork

  • Anyone knows where i can get one? Looked around but could not find any.
Steerer needs to be 235-240mm. Thanks

Can swap for my Time Club carbon fork 215mm steerer A-Head 1"

  • I have a time sprint carbon with 235mm of steerer.

    £40

other than that, I have a similar problem, need a threadless 1" fork with a brake hole and at least 250mm steerer!

  • a threaded fork will work just the same as a threadless one, you could both expand your search.

Its even possible to use a threadless for for a quill stem if you buy the right type of headset.

    Found one here http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/site/BC/sales/WorldClassSales.asp

    not sure if its drilled.

  • yeah, I've seen those, undrilled track fork SFAIK

but if you look closely there could be a hole..or the provision to drill one.

They say they can't answer questions, so it's suck it and see I guess!

I got an ITM visia from "high on bikes" (who are an excellent shop)

    please stop this nonsense.

  • I also have a full carbon 1" threadless ITM fork at home. Yours for £40

  • yeah but yours has got a gay short steerer

  • .

  • you slag, weight saving doesn't make you faster. HTFU makes you faster, and you know it

  • took me frikkin ages to find one but i got one the other day from another forum.. i need 290mm of steerer!

cant wait for it to arrive!

Yes, it's the engine not the bike.

But, when you are as fine-tuned and super-fast as me, the bike starts to make a difference.

    ?

    I was mereley being helpful.

If you want to use a quill stem on a unthreaded fork. You just have to fit a headset like this:

If you have a threaded fork, which you want to use with a clamp-on stem. You can do it if your steerer tube is long enough to reach the stem. Ideally with the threaded part coming above the stem clamp. You of course use a normal Aheadset.

  • that's better.

you originally said "a threaded fork will work just the same as a threadless one"

  • skeletonboy
which headseat is that one? I need something similar, where can I find one?
