Yes. Just try it if you don't like it after a few weeks change back.

OK, but how do I do it?
Do I need to get any parts? Any other parts?R

You need dropouts that allow you to adjust chain tension, and a hub threaded to accept a fixed sprocket and a lockring.
What's your starting point?

go to Brick Lane Bike, or Brixton Cycles, ask them to build you a fixed wheel for your bike (it'd be helpful for them if you bring your bike).
£50ish is what you need to spend.

I have no clue whether you can simply take off your freewheel and screw on a fixed sprocket - or maybe your chain tensioner doesn't allow this, or maybe the freehub you converted to SS won't allow this ?
Who knows !?
:)(clue: you)

DEFINITELY not worth the dough.
Also, the hubs on those bikes do not have a lockring thread.
