If you've enough thread on the hub, then a spacer between hub and sprocket should sort it out.
How much do you need to shift right? -

If your running a standard bottom bracket it might be worth changing it.
Gearing bikes tend to have 113-130 spindles in the BB.
With a fixed wheel, something like 107-110mm is usually more appropriate.

Have you set up the chainring on the inside of the spider arms?

Just invite him along to church, he's bound to like it.
converted a nice old phantom using a proper (goldtech/mavic) track style wheel. only problem is the chainline in rubbish. ideally the rear cog would be further out and the chainring further in...
the hub only just squeezes into the dropouts as it is so i doubt spacers are an option, any other suggestions??
