Bugger.
-
• #4
how about chocolate brown, or a pale blue? gloss preferably, but up for it if you wanna get a job lot!
-
• #5
bump, I am in from next week on
-
• #6
nicely done.
-
• #7
Better in matt black?
-
• #8
definitely.
-
• #9
it could work!
-
• #10
Wouldn't that make it heavier Dammit?
What's the point of those cranks (for example) if you add several hundred grams of powder coat?
-
• #11
How much cheaper is it for a group job?
-
• #12
My understanding is that they would remove the existing layer of paint before applying powdercoat Mr Fox.
Also, those are the 3DF cranks- not that light, in the scheme of things.

How much cheaper is it for a group job?
how heavy is one piece of steel?
it all depends on how many people would be interested.also, not sure if the cboardman is a ww target?
-
• #14
It's not. I think it'd look quite good in flat black, they'd need to do the forks as well mind.
1000AA are you going to handle getting the quote?
-
• #15
I'd quite like to get the annoyingly bright silver chainring coated also.
-
• #16
yeah can be done no problem, will let you know.
-
• #17
aren't your forks carbon though?
-
• #18
Yep, they'd need spraying.
Leave them out if that makes things easier- I'm quite tempted to paint them fluro-yellow.
-
• #19
Meh. It's hardly a garish or offensive paint scheme, I'd leave it. Especially with the faff of doing the forks yourself.
Also surly that chainring will change colour soon enough.
-
• #20
To what? Magenta?
-
• #21
magenta on the inside of the fork blades and chainstays would look crazy good now when you mentioned it.
-
• #22
Potentially keen for getting a few things done - two cranksets and a chainring.
