The lower plate doesn't have to come from a Thomson - you could botch it together from something like an old Kalloy seatpost.
The bolt, obviously, is just a standard 'M' bolt.

You can buy the bolts as replacements.

cheers folks. however the thomson lower plates are smooth and rounded where as mostly, other posts have those grooves machined into them to adjust the angle. they adjust using a two bolt system, one at front and rear each holding tight against theother. i did bodge it using bits from an old micro adjust post but cos the plates are different shapes the angle was never right. always poked up at the front too much. as for the bolts, yea i suppose i could do without fancy thomson ones... but ya know. i may mosey to the local shop and mooch through their crap bits box and see if i find anything more suitable.

I'm also looking for a replacement one of these if anyone has anything - the bottom part of the clamping plate for a 27.2 black elite inline post

i have one (i think) it might be the top part though? will have a look and see if i can find it tomorrow.
also have a thomson seat clamp surplus to requirements.
morning all.i have a thomson seatpost which i want to use again but the lower plate and one of the bolts from the seat clamp have gone walkabout. long shot i know but does anyone have a bruk post kicking around which might have what i need?? cheap would be nice too...
