Could do, a white saddle is going on.
But its keeping the tape clean, it will go grey soon. How can i keep it white or is that a stupid question? -

White Spirit, or Carbon Tetrachloride if you can find it.

black cloth tape. with a vintage black suede or nubuck saddle (or a rolls I suppose).
Seriously looks the business..white can make it look like a banana or the Pope's golf umbrella.
(If you start worrying about this you might need to sell your white saddle to me.)
If the frame is a new laquered yellow (you say "just got it back" but not sure what from) black will look classy as you like, specially with chrome rims.

Got it back from the painters on Thursday night.
The white saddle i didnt plan on it staying long, its uncomfy and hard to keep clean. Although i'll give it a clean before it goes on the bike.
I thought black would make it look like a banana? -

i guess it depends on the shade of yellow - not sure from the photos.
but there was a really nice bike on ebay a while back that was yellow and the guy had put black tape etc. with it - it looked fantastic.

blue tape could go ok too. it might end up looking like an ikea brochure, though, so you'd want to be a bit careful.

Black for me too. With a complimentary black seat, black cables, black tyres, black rims, and spokes. Black, that's black.

sorry Merak - was that with a yellow frame that's been finished in black? ;)

black (I think suede, but maybe I'm a perv) saddle
black tyres - maybe with the brand name (eg "Schwalbe") written in white
shiny wheels (all components)
shiny stem
shiny seatpost
shiny crank
shiny chain
shiny brakesharp!!!
let us know how you get on - post some outdoor photos...

matching chain and bar tape!
the only way to go ;-) -

Have to be black if it needs to match the chain.
White temps me, and someone else who has seen the frame has said blue, but black might look good. I thought about putting on a lime green deep V on the back to match my club kit, but i'm going shiny shiny.
I've seen silver tape but it looks crap.
Black might look good, got some old black tape when i took it off the geared bike when it got tatty. Might seehow it looks, can swap the saddle off the geared aswell.
I'll get some more pictures later, legs abit tired at the moment, long ride this morning/afternoon.
My frame is back. Ready to put the bars on, lost a bolt, the one ontop of the one with the bearing in at the top, is that needed?
Anyway the front wheel is shiny chrome, so is the rear, and the cranks and chain ring. So you get how the colours work. But what about the bar tape. Its the wrong colour of yellow to put yellow bar tape on.
What you reckon?
Thought about half taping them, but i'm hoping to do some long-ish rides on it. Still got to get a shiny seat post for it and the bolt for the seat clamp on the frame. Back wheel is also soon to be built and the other stuff put on.
Any ideas?
