3/32" chain half link needed!?

Posted on
  • Hey just trying to sort out my friends bike, only problem is dropout spacing left. Really need a half link for a 3/32" chain, anybody have one or know where i can get hold of one in london? or is it possible to use the plates from a 1/8" half link and put in the rollers from a 3/32" chain? any advice?

    cheers

  • I'm pretty sure condor sell them... but my memory isn't what it used to be.
    ...What? sorry. Pardon?

  • sweet i'll try them tommorow. cheers. anybody know anywhere else?

  • i think superprecise knows.
he was talking about getting one a while ago.

  • I have got one going spare somewhere in the tangled bike parts jungle that is my life.

    . . . or £3.50 from Charliethebikemonger.

  • you probably dont need one, depending on the chain, if its new it might stretch quite a bit.

  • BUMP: Mate's SS needs one. Has anyone got a 3/32 spare??

  • Anyone know which London bike shops sell 3/32 Half Links?

Condor, BLB, 14, Cavendish, Evans etc. ??

    Cheers

  • Any bike shop they are standard multi speed chains. The up to 7 speed ones seem to be cheaper than the 8 speed ones but are the same.

  • Anywhere sell full (80 or 90 pitches) half link chains in 3/32"?

Or would I have to toil my life away washing dishes to buy £274.50 of single half links?

  • Scratch that foolish response, thank you Tynan for the bike monger link (Y)

  • does anyone have a 3/32 half link going spare?

i know it's only a small bit but i dont fancy paying £6 for it from sjs, with delivery in about a week...

would need posting as i'm not in london. ta
