• Hello all.
its off topic, i.e not bike related, but i'm selling my mac cube. if anyone here is a collector or fancies a nice little server or music base, this little fella will supply.
    so the spec is:

apple cube G4 inc original mouse/keyboard and speaker pods (all immaculate)
    450mhz processor
    1.5 gb ram (maximum)
    Geforce2 graphic board
    40gb HD
    airport
    original power pack
    17" apple studio monitor (immaculate)

it's running osX with CS and office 07 installed and the cube (not the monitor) has the original packaging. looking for offers around £450.

i also have an apple DVI to ADC converter so you can use the monitor with regular DVI outputs. only used it for about an hour and it's been boxed ever since. looking for £40. $99 from apple.

    thanks, matt.

  • Hi Matt,

I am in the market for a Mac Cube and came across your post. I realize this is from yeeeeeears ago, but I thought I should inquire just in case you didn't sell it back then for some reason and might still have it.

    Thanks a lot,
    Areg

  • Hi Areg, as long as Matt doesn't have his Cube, which he probably doesn't looking at the OP, I have one which I could be looking to sell with all the original bits and the matching 17" monitor. All boxed.

  • Hello. Thanks for the post. I assume that everything is completely functional? If so, how would you rate the overall condition of these (most importantly of the cube) in terms of scratches, scuffs, etc - pristine, very good, good... Lastly, do you have a price in mind? Thanks!

  • Everything was functional when I boxed it in original packaging about four years ago. I will take it out and test if you're interested. I would class everything as pristine if you allow for the original casting problems with the cube. The mouse, keyboard, speakers, power supply, hard drive and monitor are all original and were working perfectly when boxed, all with those see through graphite cables. I hadn't really had a price in mind but would be cheaper than the OP's. Let me sleep on it and check your visitor's messages tomorrow as I believe you have not got PM freedom yet . Would you want monitor included?

  • I can install newer software if you need.

  • I assume you are referring to the lines (sometimes referred to as "cracks" or "mold lines") that were due to manufacturing? I've actually never seen these myself, so it's a bit hard for me to say how I feel about them. I understand that only some of the units had this problem.

If we could agree on a price range, then I would certainly appreciate you testing it first and also sending me some photos, especially some close-ups of the cube itself. Depending on price, I would also be interested in the monitor.

The software is of least importance.

Lastly, I'm in the Netherlands. I assume you would be ok with shipping it here?
