  • Got a pair of Paul track ends on my bike. I generally like them but the knobs at the end have a tendency to come off the screws. Unfortunately locktite isn't enough to keep them firmly secured to the screws. Have other people used a permanent adhesive (something along the lines of super glue) or come up with some other solutions? Looks like changing a flat tyre will be a case of pulling out the chain breaker

  • take the screws out and get some mks tugs??

  • P.T.F.E tape (plumbers tape) should do the trick.

  • make them rust ! :D

  • or more sensibly, if you have a enough thread find a bolt to match your thread to lock against. And a small spring washer perhaps.

  • Try araldite a thread lock or chemical welding.

    +1

  • So I have a question.
I have these on the geekhouse, and after being hit by the car, the screws are FUBAR.
how do i get my wheel out- its at proper tension.

also I'm going to have to cut them off, anyone know if i can get replacement screws?

  • I hope the driver is paying for these..

  • nope, got away scotch free.
I didn't even notice till today when I did a bit of a service.

  • Find him.
    Kill him.
Sell his organs to medical science to fund the repairs.

  • any ideas anyone?
once I get the wheel out I can go about the repair work.

and hippy you've no idea how pissed off i am, but i just want to have a fully funcitoning bike again.

  • Can you use pointy nose pliers to turn the screws?

  • can you just completely undo the hub bolts and hub drops out.

  • henners, you might have to try and break the chain, the mess about with needle nose pliers afterwards.....bummer.

  • can you just completely undo the hub bolts and hub drops out.

don't be fncking stoopid, there are axles holding the wheel in the slots.

  • oh yeah, sorry murtle i'm a fucktard today.
3 all nighters in a row have really taken its toll.

right, well in a few days I'll get round to that.
