If you write them a really nice letter (by snail mail ideally) saying you broke one and asking how much a replacement is (include all the details of the key, code etc and your address) then if you're really lucky they'll post you one back free.
Thats what Kryptonite did for me when I snapped mine (sent me two!). Abus might not be as nice but its worth a go.

Kryptonite keys are cheap as chips from their website, just input the key # and they send replacements very quickly. I got 3 for less than a £10 inc P&P.......doesn't beat free though.

Provided you have the key number, it takes three days to get a spare. I will be happy to do it for you.

Probably, I'm just dumb though and managed to lose one of my keys!

they give you a card with the lock stating the key number and details about what to do when u need a replacement. ANYway all Abus locks come with a spare key ;)

Yeah, but I didn't keep the card (told you I was dumb). I've got the spare, but want to get another before I lose that - see a pattern here?

Break the key in the lock? If not then how? If so how'd you get it out?

when I was out making a call I found an ABUS Granit 54 lock in the mud by my work, and im wondering if there is anyway to get a replacement key?
I know this will be near impossible as I don't have the separate card with the key details but I was thinking if I send them the lock or something to prove that im not just reading the serial number of some other guys bike ..just seems like a waste of a £70 lock ..and im a tight Scottish bastard :D -

This is the first hit on google when looking for replacement abus bike lock keys...
I broke my key trying to use it as a tyre lever when I got a puncture on my way to glastonbury. It just snapped.
For anyone else asking this question, I found this:
http://www.abus.de/us/main.asp?ScreenLang=us&select=0104b99I'll try going to Evans ce soir. Maybe they qualify as a "local ABUS stockist".

There's a locksmith right by Hackney Downs Railway station that will cut security keys for about £12 a pop.
Anyone know if you can get spare Abus keys cut easily, or do you have to get the blanks from Abus?
