What and where you got in mind?

I went on fast eddy's ride and flunked after about 65 miles as the pace was too much. The route is great though and I completed most at my own speed.It involves going through Richmond Park, Hampton Court, Esher Cobham, Ockham, East Clandon,Guildford, Putteham. Seale, Farnham etc. I have the whole route but I reckon an abridged version entailing the villages and lovely b roads would take up about 70 miles. It' s beautiful countryside with minor farm traffic. Obviously the route is expandable or reductable according to what anyone wants. Return might be through Woking and Weybridge Walton on Thames, like the original. Anyway this is just a suggestion.

The date is 26th. May and it's the Whitsun holiday apparently.

i'm missing the herne hill thing and riding to brighton sun, for a friends engagement; then riding back on mon. geared though!

Oooh I think that I could be convinced, somewhat depending on how I feel after the track day. I'd love to have a spin round that part of the world. I think that something shorter - say 40 miles or so would be good. There are some training routes posted on the Kingston Wheelers site that might be suitable. Would definitely do it on gears.

how about a richmond park to windsor ride? some nice country lanes, NO HILLS, scenic finish and less than 80kms return (from richmond park). i'd guide, but depends on how much damage two days of Tour of Wessex does to me

That's also a good idea. Start early and then a nice pub lunch in Windsor, a few beers on the river then a train back.

Fine by me, might be better after the track day to spare the extra mileage. Let's see who else may be interested.

Sounds lovely. I will probably have to give it a miss as the missus is demanding I do something with her at least some point over the long weekend. I managed to talk her out of getting in a car and driving fucking miles to get somewhere I don't want to go. But 2 cycling days in a row would be really really pushing my luck.

I can't make anything this weekend 'cos I'll be in Bournemouth.

not sure if the misses will let me out, have to see.

I'm pretty sure I've got a weekend full of drinking, and I think the track day may be all the riding I'll be able to get in apart from obviously riding between drinks.
Will check calendar/diary, but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to make it.

My lady doesn't get bank holidays off so I was thinking of getting on the bike. I'm deffo interested - when & how long?

The route is great! we should definitely do this but I can't make Monday i am affraid (work)

There is also the tiredness factor that will kick in after my success sunday on the track :)

I'm keen on this ride, sounds awesome. It would be my first and depending on length i'd be tempted to ride fixed.

If Tori is workign that day (possible) than I'd be very up for a medium paced 40 miler on the geared bike. It'll be a good re-introduction ride for me.

i'm a maybe, can we see the route, if possible coule we have a route that starts and ends central and no trains involved.
