it looked £200 too expensive to me. similar bits as all the other £400-£500 off the peg fixed bikes but the frame didn't look any better than the rest. IMHO
edit: actually the bits are all miche which are a step up from the bits on a flyer etc but compared to a stock condor pista i think the condor is better value as the frame looks a lot nicer (which is why i brought one :-) )

yes, i'd guess that the wilier pista and the condor pista are about the same level. about those its only the question 'how long does it take to get one'.
-

i guess the willier is a stock item
the condor you have to be fitted and then the bike built. the time depends on how busy they are. -

You can buy a condor pista in bike hut/halfords these days, they have 2 or 3 of the buggers in the putney store, plus pretty much the entire condor range

unfortunatly the condor bikes are not avaible in my size, and 4-6 weeks to get one produced is just too long :/

No it's not. How long are you going to own the bike for?
'Buy in haste, repent at your leisure' as my Grandpa used to annoy the tits off me with.

Hi,
does anyone own the Wilier Pista?
Someone does have one!
Saw one this morning going across the crossroads by the Boston Arms, while I waited at the lights in Tufnell Park.
It was red and new, and, er... well, that's about all I could tell... I'll look out for it tomorrow morning and try and get some feedback from the owner.

Really? What time? I've been going through at about 9.30am and 6.30pm over the last three weeks.
Apart from me, I usually see one other on average.
Keep 'em peeled, Dogs...

i don't bother much either, it's a pain to turn them over and check

Good for you - I hear strange things about fellows who 'hang around at intersections'
You're on an early start, mate!

I have one. Over here it's only available as a frameset with no brake drillings. Being available in only the usual s,m,l sizings, you must make sure the geometry is right for you. If so, it is quite a responsive handler.

How do you tell male from female and what are the benefits to running male/male wheels, female/female wheels or male/female wheels?
-
• #21
actually if your back wheel is male and your front is female, it's much faster, more chaste.

actually if your back wheel is male and your front is female, it's much faster, more chaste.
You mean the rear male wheel chases the front female, to AVOID being chaste!

But surely the back constantly breaks away in an attempt to meet the front?
