  • If while walking around your hood, you find half an MKS chaintug (i.e. the allen key end) then please let me know. I lost two, found one outside The Kingsland Centre, but the second eluded me.

    I know. I'm an idiot.

  • how the hell did you lose them?

    • Holy Grail.
    • Atlantis.
    • Bianchi Concept frameset.
  • you got your bike built now tom?! I called you earlier by the way

  • how the hell did you lose them?

Turns out that you should tighten them up really well if you take your wheel off your bike and carry it anywhere...

Looks like it's another visit to those guys at Cavendish.

Bike gets (hopefully) built tomorrow. Flourescent jersey'd commuters beware.

  • Aren't those MKS allen bolts actually fixed to the other end of the whosywhatsit? ie. I didn't think they could unscrew all the way?

They are threaded at both ends (which is weird). Basically the head of the bolt is threaded so that the bit that goes on the end of the track ends is basically a nut. They are unlike any chain tugs I've come across before and I think I might get the 5mm bolt (i.e. non-allen key) ones instead.

  • lol, sex-bolt.

  • So just how many fixed riders live on shacklewell lane?
Sheep, Mary, Chandra and myself live opposite the green.. Casper (Rapha) is three doors up.

    Anyothers?

  • i live in your toolbox

  • that giant needle wouldn't be all that hard to find. it must be 6feet long.

  • My thing is buying dustcaps for pedals. I just love em, must have bought about a dozen in a year. Even with Loctite, they always seem to just go and live their dustcappy lives without me. I must say its almost always after a few beers, like they're saying 'right, if you're gonna just get pissed I'M OFF!'

    hence my edit! :)

Got any Lyotard you don't want? Otherwise might have to buy a pedal set.
