Was in NY just over a month ago with friends, here's all the bike snaps. If anyone knows where I can get a speedometer like that (you'll know which pic I mean) then please let me know.
I too was thinking of getting an analog speedometer !!
They are not too hard to find . . . .
Give me a minute I have some links somewhere . . . . . . . .

Here you go, around £5 a pop !
One word of warning - unlike digital speedos that work with a magent - these old style ones work off friction against the wheel so do slow you down a tiny bit.
I like this one below - it has nice colours to keep your hip hop slave bike on the cutting edge of cycle fashion.
There are a load if you search around - and cheap too:
16 Euros
Also 16 Euros

I would be sorely tempted to buy the second one down (the colourful one) - pop off the front 'glass' - and put in my own dial design printed out on a ink jet.
I think it says - 'warm up' - 'normal' - 'vigorous' and 'limit' - (not 100% sure about what the last one says /)
I would change them to 'track stand' - 'pub' - 'RLJ' and 'no chance'

If you 'needed' MPH all you would have to do is print out yourself a new dial from on an inkjet so you could use any of the above.
Here is a smaller MPH version.

if its calibrated to a 700c wheel, then thats alright, what if its not?Change the dial face, print out a new set of numbers.
You would need some way of knowing you are going at a certain speed (perhaps borrow a 'real' digital speedometer?).
Get yourself up to 30mph (or whatever you can manage) check your speed on the digital speedo - wherever the hand/indicator is pointing on the analog speedo is - of course - 30mph, make a mental note.
Use this mark to interpolate back down to '0' when you knock up the new graphics for the new dial face.

Since 2005, it would appear.
(please note that I understand the concept of a wine vintage and this is just an unfunny joke)
