I've seen a couple out and about in the flesh. They look pretty good.

it's the same tubing as a bareknuckle (com12), maybe it is a bareknuckle?
-
• #9
Frame and fork only.
Christ, that's a lot. Can get a Bianchi Pista Concept f&f for that.
-
• #10
actually, its not that bad because, technically? you get a seat post and seat clamp as well...
- Dolan FXE - Dedacciai COM 12.5 Steel
- Steel Fork 1" A-Head (Gloss Black Finish)
**- Alpina Alloy seat post in Satin Back Finish - Seat Clamp**
- Dolan FXE - Dedacciai COM 12.5 Steel

Depends what you're after though.
Bianchi concept is a lot more hip hop slave. Some might not like it.

the problem is the shit fork and 1" head tube..
it limits you to s/h carbon forks, fucking expensive easton ones or £60 deda blackforce if you can find any.
£325 approx gets you a surly or a BJ, both of which I'd probably take over that.
if it was under £250 I'd say yay.
however, it's not shit tubing, and the geo looks ok'ish.
just no point in doing a new bike with 1" IMO

It's definitely not a bareknuckle. Bareknuckle is 1 1/8 threadless and has a way nicer fork. Way nicer.
The Dolan's not bad looking, but I'd take the surly over it for the same price.

surly's are ugly mofo's!!

blb had a white dolan built up in their window for ages. it's a nice looking bike.

Apparently, these are all the rage in Western Oz. Fast and tight or something.

Terry Dolan is not a nice person!
Thats all I have to say about that....
DW
I once sent him an email about a bike he built and he never responded!
Jerk.

I thought the waiting list for a Pista Concept was 4 years or something?

Waiting list for a Bianchi? There's some sick in the head people out there..

bought mine direct from dolan through the italian solutions site. came with no rear brake braze on. if they have none in stock in your size they will custom make it. they had mine in stock and after a few calls back and forward it came in about 2 weeks. they also chucked in a new set of carbon alpina forks as i said the ones that come with it are stinking. pretty chuffed with it.

+1 Got a black one (sorry hipsters!) last year through cyclescheme, came with a carbon alpina fork (alloy steerer) but no stainless inserts in the dropouts. Did come with rear brake drilling, too.
I bloody love it! Had a Condor Pista (2006) before, think Condor have now made the Pista geometry closer to the Dolan.
Italian solutions were quite good comedy value to deal with, 10 days drifted into 7 weeks... but I did get some nice handbuilt Cxp 33s(?) with black Gran Compe L/F hubs.
Any opinions on this?
