Abus steel-o-flex is pretty comfy to wear; it's rubber or plastic coated so it doesn't pinch.

Abus + 1

Chain for the kinky factor. I've worn my chain for 8 hour and never had a problem personally but that me. No sense no feeling.
I think the fagetaboutitwhatevernymustbeharcoreblood chain has a higher security rating.

+1 for abus but its a little stiff to start with and as a friend just realised it can be a little tight if you have a belly ha ha

Great! Thanks, that's what I was hoping.
Was a little concerned about the abus slipping down (I don't really have a waist to speak of)
Thought it might be handy to be able to tighten the chain, but if no-one has had any issues then abus it is. -

Yeah I've been thinking about getting one of those Abus' to go with my U-Lock.

There's two sizes - 80cm and 100cm

I almost bought an Abus 80cm, but tried a friend's and found that it slipped over my waist to the point that it seriously restricted my movement. Not the lock for me.
Try one on before you buy, especially if you're a waistless wonder.

sano gets his 80 around twice :)

Faghedaboutit chain all the way. Supplement it with a Faghedaboutit D lock or an Evolution Mini-D for extra security if you haven't already got one.

Remember not to leave the lock on the ground, and wrap up the chain as much and as tightly as possible.

Cheers. That's exactly what I was worried about. Guess I'll have to find myself a fitting room in a bike shop.

I'm too thin for the abus locks too, the easy work around is to use a spare toestrap and fasten it to your belt.

Thanks all!
After a bit of looking around and reading comments, I decided to go with the Kryptonite new york chain. Still gold secure, lighter than Faghedaboutit and I can hopefully adjust the length around my waist.
I'm going to pair it with a full set of pitlocks. Realised the other day that nothing on my bike is insured unless the whole bike is taken.
So getting just one, really strong, lock seems a bit pointless. I'd rather my whole bike was stolen than just a wheel, bars or saddle.
The logic then goes that the weakest point on the whole lock setup should really be the one that links the bike to the immovable object. The lower limit on this being whatever still validates my insurance.
This is a very quick and very specific question.
Has anyone had experience using both the NY Faghedaboutit chain and the Abus steel-o-flex?
Which is most comfortable around the waist, most friendly to bike paintwork etc?
I'm trying to choose.
