Don't short change me that extra 15k wayne ;)
175k door to door, pretty chuffed actually about messing up and riding Group 1 instead of Group 2. Even sprinted for the finish! :)
Yes, I'm still fat.. but it helps on downhills.
Respect due to wayno who stepped up another group level and made it. He might've complained, he might've looked like warmed up death, he might never ride a bike again.. but he finished today and in good time too! :)
Not forgetting fatboyralph who also upped a level! We're gonna kick arse!

If you saw the first truncheoning you'd know why..

Did you talk to Roche and Kelly? I'd love to meet them..
-
• #18
They're not actually doing the training rides (slack fsckers).
Roche will be riding the event this year. So will Max Sciandri, Brian Smith (former double British National Road Race Champion) and some other actual athletes.

Nice shot of my brother harrassing the DJ...
Well played hippy, Wanye and Des. I did 5 miles on my fixed gear today, am I in your class yet?
-
• #21
only another 9 miles to add, up a hill, and you can pretend you rode ventoux.

There's a fuck of a lot of geared riding going on round here these days. Give it a couple of years, and all the local tea leaves will be loitering round the Prince George talking about Campag Ultra-Torque, SRAM Red, and Shimano electric shifting.
But as a reformed cyclist and evangelical pedestrian prophet, I'm doing the real trend-setting. I'm thinking of doing the weird gay speed walking thing that they do in the Olympics, and I'll fucking do it all the way from London to Paris as well. Pied à terre, you cunts.

All cycling is good, geared and fixed. There was a dearth of fixed for a while there, but now it's been restored I'm up for ensuring that the scales are balanced evenly by having some geared action around here.

just come off the back of a 160k training ride for London to Paris today
my pre ride prep consisted of plenty of non alcoholic drinks and an early night and I found the ride 'challenging'
Hippy's pre ride prep - rollas, lager and 4 hours sleep and he does the 160k ride in group one. yup that's the group that has stephen roche and sean kelly in it…
fook that's really Hardening The Fuck Up
