It's an ongoing argument/joke.
It splits up something like this:
A) The moral approach - Some people here on Lonfonfgss.com don't like 'noobs' turning up and trying to sell bike parts (it is presented as something more than 'don't like' some kind of 'morality') - they need to know you first - perhaps go for a bike ride, maybe wine and paella at a small but reasonably priced Spanish, possibly full sex and an awkward exchanging of false mobile numbers the following morning.
B) The pragmatic approach - Some people here on Londonfgss.com don't mind in the slightest who you are or who you know - nor do they feel the need for you to pass any social test. If anyone is interested in your stuff for sale they will buy it, if they are not they won't. Although the paella/wine/sex offer still stands.
I myself am in the 'B' camp, but the argument has kind of self-imploded and now everyone from both camps calls for the lynching of anyone even attempting to sell a chain ring bolt or pair of inner tubes because it's easier - and even the folk from camp B like a good barbecue.
