brixton all the way
yep, definitely.
second to brixton, i'd say cavendish. if it's just 'normal' bike stuff, Putney Cycles are good.

i've found all the cycle surgerys pretty good. west hampstead and holloway road are friendly and helpful.
evans i'm not a bit fan of (although the one on the cut is okay), condor seem okay, mosquito i know some people like but i've found them a bit up their own arses to be honest.
never tried BLB.

What you mean they actually serve you rather than ignore you chatting amongst themselves and when the do speak to you they are not incredibly condescending?

EDIT - too slow - thanks VVI second Strattons, the two mechanics are Paul and Stefano who is Italian. Paul is an ex-road racer with masses of technical know especially about Campagnolo. Also has old shim and campag parts. Paul built my wheels with Phil Wood hubs on Araya track rims, and they'te perfect.

Both Waterloo Evans Cycles have always been very helpful. Big shout for Brixton Cycles plus Edwardes of Camberwell (very helpful, family run, been around since about 1426).
im pretty new to London, only been here about 6 months now. However in every city i've lived in iv'e always had a bike shop that i like to go to coz i know they can always help me in one way or another with any bike problems i have for a decent price...
a good one is an independent one, where the people are helpful and youur not made to feel like a pain in the ass when you ask questions.
i've tried a few, but i like to stay away from Evans, and Velorution is as piss poor as any i've seen, just a bunch of wankers in there to be honest.
so the question is....
what are the best London bike shops ???
